Where did my starter come from

Some people make their starter's from scratch and some people get their starter's from various sources, whether a friend a website or even a farmer's market. I got my starter Genevieve from someone, but her origin is much more complex than just receiving some starter from a friend. My sister was the one who originally gifted me my starter in January of 2024. I did not know until recently that she received it from her friend; who received it from her aunt; who got it from Pennsylvania; so realistically I have no idea how old my starter is but I'm assuming it's very old. At the end of the day it does not matter how old your starter is, as long as you are able to make food with it and get the benefits from it.
